Metal Fabricator

About the Role
As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a key role in supporting the Building & Projects and Engineering team through the creation, shaping, and finishing of high-quality components and products using non-precious metals.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing fabrication tasks accurately and on time.
• Collaborating with design, engineering, and production teams to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Applying artisan techniques such as hand-finishing, forming, and patination on non-precious metals.
• Operating and maintaining fabrication equipment and tools, including CNC machinery.
• Conducting risk assessments and adhering to WHS and environmental standards.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings to guide fabrication work.
• Assisting with new product prototypes, material selection, and finishing methods.
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assisting with cost estimation, material planning, and assembly of metal components.

About You
We’re looking for someone who has:

• A trade qualification in metal fabrication or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Previous project management experience (preferred but not essential).
• Strong craftmanship and attention to detail in non-precious metal work
• The ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
• Experience with hand tools and fabrication machinery
• Profiency in MIG, TIG and Stick welding techniques for various non-precious metals
