Account Officer

Pallion is the largest precious metal services group in Australasia and a top 5 Australian private group of companies. This multi-national group operates facilities throughout Australia, Hong Kong and mainland China. Pallion designs, manufactures, and distributes precious metals products and related services. Pallion entities offer the following services: Bullion, Refining and Minting; Casting and Jewellery; Fabricated Metals; Findings and Vaulting.

We’re looking for two Account Officers to join our Finance team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. In this role, you’ll support daily finance operations, while acting as the key contact for accounting functions across our ABC Bullion and Custodian Vaults businesses.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll ensure accounts are accurate, compliant and financial risks are minimised.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage full Accounts Payable
• Complete daily bank reconciliations (AUD & FX)
• Process metal buybacks and customer receipts (FileMaker & MYOB)
• Conduct debtor reviews and work with Sales to resolve outstanding invoices
• Maintain GL accuracy in MYOB and AX
• Support BAS, month‑end tasks, intercompany reporting and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly sales and purchasing reports
• Escalate any potentially fraudulent activity
• Assist with general finance admin and ERP testing

  
What you’ll bring:

• Experience in Accounts/Finance support
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Knowledge of FileMaker, MYOB, AX or similar systems
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, receipting and data entry
• Confident communication and stakeholder engagement
• Experience in jewellery, gold or retail (advantageous)
